Vice-Chair Introduction: Celine Wherritt

Image
Hi everyone! My name is  Celine Wherritt, and I will be one of your Vice Chairs for ECOFIN this year. Last year, I was a Head Chair for BMUN 68's Security Council, where my topics focused on the Venezuelan Food Crisis and Open Agenda.  I am a Junior at UC Berkeley studying Business Administration with a minor in Global Poverty, and I will be working as a consultant for IBM in New York this summer. I am also interested in corporate social responsibility and public policy.  Outside of BMUN, I volunteer at local YMCA programs geared towards children with disabilities and travel to San Francisco as a Nesquik student ambassador. In my free time, I enjoy competitive napping, running,  and unnecessarily quoting Disney movies. I'm so excited to see the thoughtful solutions that you will all create in February 2021. Good luck and go bears!

Outside of BMUN, I'm a member of Berkeley Business Society, an on campus strategy consulting club, and I work as a Student Assistant at the Greater Good Science Center. In my spare time, I enjoy reading manga, playing video games, and going on walks.  Despite the changes being made this year, I hope that we can work together to make this conference as amazing as ever! It brings me joy to know that despite these difficult times, you're still making the effort to come to BMUN and participate and influence the world around you. I'm looking forward to reading your position papers...
